Roofing built around how Windhoek roofs actually fail

Highland UV, 25-degree daily temperature swings and short violent summer storms wear roofs here in a very particular order. We quote sheet, tile and flat concrete work across the city — starting with a short form instead of a phone call.

Pick your part of Windhoek

Ludwigsdorf tile, Rocky Crest flat concrete and Katutura sheeting are three different jobs. Each page is written for the roofs that are actually there.

Local conditions

Why Windhoek roofs fail

Almost none of it is sudden. Four forces do most of the damage, and they leave recognisable signatures.

Highland UV

At 1 700 metres the ultraviolet load is punishing. Sealants harden, membranes chalk and underlay turns brittle years before anyone looks at them.

Thermal movement

A cold night and a hot afternoon move a long IBR run measurably. That movement works fixings loose and opens end laps one millimetre at a time.

Storm intensity

Rain arrives as a burst, not a drizzle. Box gutters and outlets that are dust-blocked after the dry season simply cannot take the volume.

Layered patching

Many roofs carry several generations of quick repairs. Sealant over sealant hides where the water actually enters and buys a single season each time.

How it works

Form first, roof second

  1. 01

    Answer seven questions

What the roof is doing, what kind of work it needs, how soon, and where in Windhoek you are.

  2. 02

    Add photos

Optional, up to six. From the ground is fine — it is usually enough to identify the roof type and the detail that failed.

  3. 03

    We come back to you

Questions people ask before they submit

Do I have to phone anyone to get a quote?
No. Everything starts with the online form. You describe the roof, add photos if you have them, and choose whether you would rather be contacted by phone, WhatsApp or email.
Why do you ask for photos?
A photo of a ridge line, a parapet or a rust patch tells us more than a paragraph does. It means the person who comes out already knows what they are looking at, and the quote is closer to reality.
My roof is leaking right now. What should I do first?
Protect the inside, keep off a wet roof, and mark the urgency as an emergency in the form. Our storm-damage guide walks through the first 24 hours in more detail.
Do you work outside Windhoek?
This site is Windhoek-only, right down to suburb-level detail. If you are outside the city you can still submit the form and pick 'other / outside Windhoek'.
What information makes a quote most accurate?
Roof type, roughly when the problem started, whether the ceiling is already marked, and how many storeys the section is. All of it is in the form.
